How Do they Glow?
Our sunglasses have a electroluminescent wire around the edge that will illuminate very bright from dusk till dawn. We currently hand build each pair to customize each pair for every unique individual's needs.
How long do they glow?
Our wired models come with a 3 mode inverter that flash intermittently, stay on, and stay off. They are powered by batteries which can be exchanged anytime for prolonged use, and a fully charged battery will last you 8 hours. The inverter comes with an extension wire size of your choosing so you can tuck it in your back pocket, clip it onto your belt, or tuck it away in your hair or hat.

Do you do custom EL wire customers glasses?
Yes, our team would be able to have EL wire in the colour of your choosing attached to the frame provided. Please note, once the EL wire is attached, it cannot be removed. Please email us for more information!

Am I able to pick up in the GTA?
Yes, our team is located in the Markham, Scarborough, and Toronto areas, just drop us an email and one of our PLUR GEAR staff will be happy to arrange a meet time!
Do you have a physical store?
No, the PLUR GEAR team chose to be an online only store to help save costs. This way we can provide more discounts to our customers! We have many representatives that are located all across Toronto and The Greater Toronto Area. Don't hesitate to send us an email to inquire to save on shipping!
Do you have Sound Activated Inverters?
Not yet, we are looking for better quality Sound Activated inverters at the moment. You may ask us to demonstrate our current demo Sound Activated inverters if you wish
What type of wire do you use?
We currently use a higher quality single core 2.3mm electroluminescent wire which is thicker than other manufacturers out there. It will shine brighter as well as it is more durable.
Why has my wire stopped glowing?
Most of the causes may be caused by water damage, usually sweat or moisture getting into the connections of the EL wire or inverter. This will cause a short in the EL wire or inverter and will need time to dry so that the connection will function properly. Let it dry overnight and try again. Also please keep the EL wire out of the sunlight as the sun will decay the EL wire and the lifetime of the light will decrease and cause sun spots.
